Sarah Powell
From a background in banking and events management, Sarah's breast cancer diagnosis at age 29 had a profound impact on my life and my family. After 20 years of corporate life, it also ultimately led her on her personal and professional journey to educate, advocate and positively impact Australia's cancer community, particularly those who experience inherited cancers.
She's been a passionate advocate and supporter of Pink Hope (now Inherited Cancers Australia) since its inception in 2009. I was incredibly fortunate to receive the information and support from them when I did, and I'm proud to be their current CEO.
Her expertise in investment banking, finance, operations, events, and stakeholder engagement helps me develop and lead an organisation helping Australians and their families when making life-changing decisions.
As a high-risk individual myself with a BRCA1 mutation, she understands what's important to her community and constantly strives to make an impact.
She's honoured to be able to play an active role in helping Australians reduce their risk of cancer and remain healthy for as long as possible.
Born in London, she has lived and worked across Europe and Australia and currently resides in Melbourne with her two children and Lexi her rescue dog.
